Like the Water
Posted on March 1st, 2012 No commentsMy life is a fresh spring in Wisconsin,
Unsoiled, sweet, pristine, clear.
Sprung forth from the mother earth
Naturally filtered of all past sediments.
My Mother treasured me, nurtured me,
Both gave me space to run and held me close,
Protected me from the traits of my father
That would turn me into the same man he was.
And also from the aspects of herself—
She changed herself for me, gave her life to me
Before she had truly lived a life.
I never realized this before now.She gave her life for me.
And probably would again. -

Dream Chronicle VI
Posted on January 14th, 2009 No commentsMy mom, dad, and I were driving through an airport. It was sunny outside, and pretty warm weather. It was different than a regular airport, because we drove up to someone and handed them our tickets, who then granted us admission to the airport, and placed a small sticker stub on the windshield.
We drove further on, discussing our upcoming vacation. Everything seemed set. Out main discussion was what to do with the van. My mom said that they had long-term, 30-day parking here.
We passed another man, who, oddly enough, was Shawn, one of my co-workers, and he checked our ticket stub and directed us to drive down to terminal A. He assured us everything was on time and sent us on our way.
