  • The Adventures of Edwin and Daniel, Vol. 4: And When All Was Done, Left 4 Dead Was Played

My weekend was a lot of fun.  I went over to Edwin’s house on Friday night, and he watched the Battlestar Galactica finale with friends (Andrew, Deanna, Kervin, and some other guy who I only see hanging with Deanna.  I forget his name.)  while I worked on the We’ve Been Framed comics, adding our website to all of the images and cleaning them up a bit.  I kept talking at the wrong points though, so I felt bad as Deanna kept shushing me all night.  I eventually gave up and shut up for an hour :P   After the finale, there was much debate over the whole “They said they were gonna answer ALL the questions!” topic.  Then everyone cleared out, except for me and Kervin (who were spending the night), and we stayed up all night long playing Guitar Hero.

And there was much Left 4 Dead played.

Saturday we got up and went to the Amish smorgasbord, Shady Maple, in Lancaster.  This is like, my favorite place for breakfast, ever.  Usually, if there is any doubt on whether I can come out to Edwin’s place on the weekend, he usually just says “Shady Maple” and I’m always like “I’m there.”  The place is gynormus, and they have a whole lot more there than the smorgasbord, though that’s the only reason why I go.  Gift shops and a farmer’s market, and the such.  Standard Amish faire.  I always get the handmade Eggs Benedict, and then whatever else I feel like.  They have the best made-to-order pancakes, which I didn’t get this time, but they’re the best.  I did take part of Edwin’s sweet potato pancake though.  MMMMMM.

Things seem to be going well lately.  I still struggle from time to time with the pain of my marriage, and, no matter what anyone says, there is that little voice in the back of my head that says that I am still married, and that I’m a complete failure for not saving it.  My counselor says that is normal, but I can’t possibly save something that only one person wants, when the other party was never remotely serious about it.

I turn my pain and energy elsewhere.  I still go to the gym regularly.  I’ve started DMing a dungeons and dragons campaign that folks seem to be enjoying.  Savannah is scheduled to be here on the 23rd of January, and I’m looking forward to that.  Then, finally, I have a couple of friends in Cleveland who want me to come visit, so once I have my calendar set properly, I intend to go out there in February.

The websites are pretty much completed, and I can get back to my writing.  At least, that is my intention.  I have a piece that just needs me to sit down and work on it and post it up, its mostly done.  It is a BEFORE piece, much like Scout’s Honor, a story of Cerberus and Tailz before the events of Spheric.

  • We’ve Been Framed!

Today, I joined the staff at the new site We’ve Been Framed.  I’m not entirely sure what direction it is going in, but the site’s owner, Edwin, showed me the concept that he had already had for a couple years, and I had to get in on it!

So look for comics put together and posted by Dan Hughes over there!  The Lifestream to the right will have an entry when I’ve posted on We’ve Been Framed.  Please feel free to visit and view the comics already going up!

  • Great Weekend!

Although lack of sleep is the prominent issue at the moment, this weekend was a lot of fun.

Friday night was me and Ken and Edna staying up late to clean the house so that we could have guests over.  We had some music playing, and everyone worked together.  We got a whole lot accomplished, and were rather proud of ourselves.  I got to bed at 4 A.M.

Waking up at 10 A.M. (which, for me, six hours is not good for sleep :P ), I headed out to New Jersey to pick up my two youngest brothers, who were hanging out with me for the day.  Back in Pennsylvania, we gamed for a while until it was time for the Ravens-Titans game.  We broke out all the snacks, and our friends showed up.  Jacob and Johanna came, and so did Edwin, along with a friend of his who I thought was pretty awesome and got on well with everyone there.
