My mom, dad, and I were driving through an airport. It was sunny outside, and pretty warm weather. It was different than a regular airport, because we drove up to someone and handed them our tickets, who then granted us admission to the airport, and placed a small sticker stub on the windshield.

We drove further on, discussing our upcoming vacation. Everything seemed set. Out main discussion was what to do with the van. My mom said that they had long-term, 30-day parking here.

We passed another man, who, oddly enough, was Shawn, one of my co-workers, and he checked our ticket stub and directed us to drive down to terminal A. He assured us everything was on time and sent us on our way.

I was managing the store I used to manage, the Wireless Zone, in Mount Holly. There will several people working there, I did not know who they were. We were all dressed, not as we would have dressed actually working at the Wireless Zone there, but as if we were at the full Verizon Wireless stores: black slacks, white shirts, and ties.

I stood up from behind the counter, waving something I had found. A kind of “why is this here?” I believe it might have been a product that had not been put away properly. Everyone there looked at me, but did not say a word. The emotions I felt were pretty clear of the situation: I had obviously been gone for quite some time, and had come back now to manage, but everyone there was new from when I was there.

With no one answering, I sighed and walked around the outside of the room, taking it to whereever it was supposed to go.

My brother Michael, my friend Jeesely, and I were at some kind of grocery store. It had to be one of those super Wal-Marts because there was electronics and stuff there too. I remember that we did not have a lot of money between us.

We were going up and down the aisles, looking for various things. Jeesely kept picking things up off of the shelf that we really couldn’t afford. (Which, by the way, is totally NOT like her in real life. She’s got a damned coupon for EVERYTHING.) I once had to scold her for picking up a small bag of Corn Pops that cost like 4 dollars.

We couldn’t afford to buy expensive cereals, so I went down the aisle looking for what was cheapest. Towards the end, corn flakes were on sale for a dollar a box. I started going towards it, but Michael started complaining that he didn’t like corn flakes. He and I started to argue about it, and while we were arguing, somebody came by and picked up the last two boxes on the shelf!

I got pissed at Michael and said it’s time for us to check out. I let them go to the checkout because I needed to get one last thing. While I was returning, I passed by some of the checkouts where there was this guy with a TV or something, and he was arguing with the cashier about the price he had been quoted. He said something about the way Mexicans do their work, and how “you know how they are, while we’re negotiating prices.”

That upset me and I made a comment to the effect that his main problem was the fact that he was a racist. The look on his face while I declared that to the store was quite satisfying.

I made my way back to the cashier where Mike was done checking out. We did about 170 dollars worth of damage, which was well within the expectations Mike had, so we were pretty content.

I was on a business trip to somewhere, and we had come to a hotel. There were events for this trip that were taking place within the hotel, so that was the setting. Different floors held different activities.

At one point, for some reason, I wanted to retire early, and so I went to guest services to see about getting a room. The first guy said he was gonna “be getting the hell out of here shortly,” so I had to go to another desk and speak to them. The girl at the second desk was very friendly, but was saying I should enjoy some of the other activities before taking a room.

I was quite adamant about wanting a room, so the manager shows up, and starts showing me the itinerary of events, and what kinds of things I’d enjoy doing, and then I could come back after 6pm.

The woman accompanying me said maybe this was some kind of policy. No, I said, there was no way they would have a policy that would purposefully intend to block people from staying at their hotel.

The manager continued to insist that I go enjoy myself. Not that there was any room or something. Not, “come back in a few once we clean one out for you,” just go away!

I got angry! I paid for a room, dammit! I am going to talk to my supervisors, who booked this whole thing, and we’ll see if we ever come here again! I huffed away, and pressed the down elevator button to go see them.

For a while, I was away, in another world. When it was time for me to come home, I returned through the portal with a young woman. From what I can remember, she was shorter than I, seemingly Asian in descent. She had short brown hair, and a brilliant smile. Absolutely adorable and beautiful at the same time. And from the way she looked at me, she loved me very much, and that was why I was returning with her.

No one seemed to accept her at first. She was quiet, reserved, and quietly dealt with everyone treating her as an outsider, a stranger. But everytime I seemed down or sad, I would see her face beaming up at me, encouragingly.

Eventually, those who cared about me saw that she was the source of my strength and happiness, and realized this girl was something special, and everyone was glad that I was happy, truly happy, as I had not been for years.

Suddenly, Blank goes, “Watch this!” and immediately pulls up, looping the plane upside down. I feel the immense force pushing me into my seat. My eyes are closed, so I don’t see anything, but I call out: “My mother can’t handle this in her condition!” Everything fades to darkness.
