Daniel Robert Hughes was born on Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.  Living most of his life as a military brat, he coasted to the ends of the nation: North Dakota, Texas, California, and then New Jersey.

He did his time in sales for various electronics before ending up providing technical support with a firm outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was once married, but is working to rectify that.
